We are a husband–wife partnership specializing in graphic design, motion design, illustration, and animation.

Through all the changes we’ve seen in our field since opening in 1999, one thing has remained constant: the need for good design and a clear, engaging message. We work with clients and other creative partners to meet that need across a wide variety of projects from motion graphics and animation to identity and print collateral.

From Interactive to Motion

For the first ten years of business, eg was focused on interactive media, including web sites, CD-ROMs, and other user experiences. With the rise of YouTube and social media, eg shifted to focus on motion graphics and animation beginning in 2009. Since then, eg has created moving visuals for music videos, TV advertising, and corporate media, for clients including Sesame Street, General Mills, Voya Financial, St. Jude Medical, Danny Weinkauf (bassist for They Might Be Giants), Larabar, Second Harvest Heartland, Meals on Wheels, and more.

Eric Kreidler

Eric Kreidler worked at the Minneapolis design studio Kuester Partners before going independent with eg design, and his love for animation goes back to childhood experiments with pencil and paper, clay figures, and a Super 8 film camera. He is committed to always growing eg’s aesthetic and technical capabilities and is always ready for a new challenge. Eric is also the director of the critically acclaimed music videos produced for Minneapolis “kindie” band, The Bazillions. Eric earned a BFA from the University of Notre Dame in 1993.

Gretchen Blase

Gretchen Blase spent her early career working at various creative firms in the Twin Cities, including Yamamoto Moss, where she specialized in identity, print and web design. She brings her keen eye for typography, commitment to clarity, and appreciation of all things visual to her pursuit of smart, elegant design solutions. In addition to earning both a BFA and BA from the University of Michigan, Gretchen completed the advanced certificate program at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Her artwork is showcased on her website.
